Aki playing football

Last Friday early morning we went to play football. Aki got a jersey from his grandma so I thought it would be fun to take him to play football. We took Aki’s cousin dhaadhu with us. Dhaadhu is my very first nephew. This time when I woke Aki up he didn’t get moody as dhaadhu was there. Aki likes to play with him. Both of the boys had a great time. But Aki wasn’t interested in playing football. He wanted to run in the track with the others who were jogging. When he saw a European woman jogging, he shouted Dhattha run run. We burst out laughing.

Father's day 2011

Happy fathers Day to the wonderful fathers all around the world.

This year’s father’s day is more special for us than last year as little Aki can understand things now. I made him wish Ahmed when he woke up in the morning. He tried not to say what I asked him to say but somehow managed to say it with a cute smile. After Ahmed went office we had breakfast and headed off to FDI to print some pictures for a very special book I saw and bought from the book Fair. It says world’s greatest dad. The best gift for a father like him. I made a cake too actually with great difficulties I must say. I have lost touch. I haven’t made a cake for years. You would have noticed it from the pictures too. While I was busily icing the cake Aki was busy sleeping. So he missed it but when he woke up and saw the cake he was so happy. He started climbing to the chairs to get it. He was very excited. So I was relieved no matter how the cake looked Aki loved it. When I told him that it’s for bappa he started saying that and ran around the kitchen. When Ahmed came from office he clapped and said,” Bappa cake ayee yoa”. Just the smile on his face made my day. All the running around was worth it.

'The cake i made. yeah i know. it's not nice.

Celebrations of our Anniversary

We decided that we are not going to exchange gifts on our anniversary hereafter as I m not working anymore. I want to buy gifts from what I earn only but this time we exchanged gifts as I got a temporary job at Novelty fair. Ahmed gave me perfumes and I loved it. I bought him whole collection of Sherlock homes and wind in the willows, two novels he likes a lot. Then I bought him slippers. I also wanted to surprise him so I bought a cake and while we were at dinner my brother gave it to the restaurants counter. It was served after dinner but as usual Ahmed knew that a cake was coming. Well, I must say he knows me too well.

To celebrate the day we had evening tea with Ahmed’s family and Akif. After that we went to for dinner after putting Aki to sleep.

The food wasn’t fabulous however the place was great. Just the way I wanted it to be.

Here are some pics we took as I promised

This is the cake i ordered.luv the red and the black.
