Quran Competition

There was a small Quran competition at school and Aki took part in it. He recites well at home. He told us that he would not recite at school and true to his word he did not recite at school. When it was his turn he just went and sat there and stared at the mike.

Though he did not recite Quran we were still proud that he had the courage to go and sit there. He looked super cute.

Father's day 2012

This fathers day Ahmed took a leave for some work at home so it was difficult for me plan something for him but i managed to get away with Aki to buy him a gift.While we were shopping Aki touched a big vase in a shop and before i could reach, it fell on the ground and broke. The first thing that came to my mind was there goes fathers day into pieces as would have to spend a lot of cash on the vase because it was a huge one. The sales girl called their boss and he came in a few minutes and just one look at Aki and he said, "it's OK no need to pay anything he is just a small boy". I felt like i was standing in front of an angel. Really who would do something like that nowadays. May god bless Adam and Co.

Me and Aki searched a lot of gift shops to buy him the right gift but somehow all the shops were out of daddy stuff. There were gifts for great mom,sister,brother, son and even brothers in law but nothing for daddy. At last when i was about to give up i saw a cute frame in a corner of the shop which was hidden by another frame written i love dad. It was the perfect gift. We took it and ran home.

Our Sunshine is 3 years

I made this video to you my little baby boy. You are very very special for me. I love you sunshine.

These are some pictures we were able to take on his birthday. We gave both families a dinner. We cooked biriyaani this time. I m not going to upload any pictures from dinner as some of the very special people's pictures were not taken by our photographer. His excuse was that he was looking after Aki. I will keep that in mind  and never assign him as the photographer next time :P.

13 Years Of Togetherness 

We celebrated our 13th Anniversary on 1st June 2012 as i was way to sick on 1st May to do any celebrations. I got sore eyes, fever and cold and i was a very very sick being. I shopped for cupcakes and made arrangements with a restaurant to bring the cake to the table to surprise Ahmed with the dessert but the guys there forgot. They didn't even know that a cake was being delivered. They really  ruined my anniversary. So i took the cakes home and we ate them at home only. We couldn't take any nice photo's of the cakes either as they lost one of our stands. which was found only the next day. Gourmet really ruined our date and only thing they said was sorry but i also admit that the food was good.

welcoming my new valentine 

It's such a happy moment when u know that a new family member is arriving. Especially i love it when i get a new niece or a nephew. This beauty made her way into this world on valentine's day. Sadly i was very ill when i got the news of this princess coming so i coudn't make the trip to the hospital. She is such a beauty like her mommy,daddy and dhonbe. Thuttha loves you a lot baby Suma. You are my kuda kuda valentine.

My boy is now old enough for school

Aki started school on 13th May 2012. He was supposed to star school on April but got sore eyes and had to stay at home. I was very nervous as i didn't know how he would react. If he cried it would be a huge issue because along with his cries comes vomiting. But alhamdhlilaahi he did not cry. Aki's thuthatha and dhatha went to take him to school with us. He said bye to us so coolly as if he have been going to school for ages. Baby boy, you made all of us so proud.
