School sports Day

On this day it was fun to see little kids doing whatever they like while the teachers run after them. Aki had to wear a sun glass and a cap and run to the finishing line. He just took his own time adjusting the cap and looking for a good one. When the whistle was blown he did not even run. We were looking from up and we couldn't help but laugh. He was way too amazed by the decorations of the school.

Our baby boy have participated in his very first concert. I expected him to dance well cause he is a good dancer. Even his Aunty said that he dances at class but he did not dance on rehearsal and after that he did not dance on the concert either. This year concert was around the world. Each class had to choose a country. They wore the costumes resembling the countries and danced to that countries songs. Aki's class got Maldives. They wore Maldivian traditional dress and looked super super cute. There was three shows. First day he was fascinated about the background so kept watching that mesmerized. Second day he made one hand movement and third day i thought he would dance but he gave us a shock instead. As soon as the curtain opened he started crying. Aki's second cousin who is his classmate want and made him stop crying. Mikko you are my hero of that day. Muah to you sweetheart.


Aki did not dance but I don't mind. I am still proud of you baby boy and always will no matter what you do. We are always with you. Love you sunshine.

First ever report card

As Aki joined school in the end of the first semester he got a report card which was mostly blank. But anyhow he was happy to wear a hat on his head and to get the report card which was beautifully covered.

Maahefun at school

To celebrate the coming of Ramadan there was a maahefun at school and this is Aki's first ever Maahefun in school. We were asked to bring their favorite food but as i couldn't get chicken nuggets i had to make sausages and french fries. Thanx to his class aunties who gave me the permission to take this special pictures.

Quran Competition

There was a small Quran competition at school and Aki took part in it. He recites well at home. He told us that he would not recite at school and true to his word he did not recite at school. When it was his turn he just went and sat there and stared at the mike.

Though he did not recite Quran we were still proud that he had the courage to go and sit there. He looked super cute.

Father's day 2012

This fathers day Ahmed took a leave for some work at home so it was difficult for me plan something for him but i managed to get away with Aki to buy him a gift.While we were shopping Aki touched a big vase in a shop and before i could reach, it fell on the ground and broke. The first thing that came to my mind was there goes fathers day into pieces as would have to spend a lot of cash on the vase because it was a huge one. The sales girl called their boss and he came in a few minutes and just one look at Aki and he said, "it's OK no need to pay anything he is just a small boy". I felt like i was standing in front of an angel. Really who would do something like that nowadays. May god bless Adam and Co.

Me and Aki searched a lot of gift shops to buy him the right gift but somehow all the shops were out of daddy stuff. There were gifts for great mom,sister,brother, son and even brothers in law but nothing for daddy. At last when i was about to give up i saw a cute frame in a corner of the shop which was hidden by another frame written i love dad. It was the perfect gift. We took it and ran home.

Our Sunshine is 3 years

I made this video to you my little baby boy. You are very very special for me. I love you sunshine.

These are some pictures we were able to take on his birthday. We gave both families a dinner. We cooked biriyaani this time. I m not going to upload any pictures from dinner as some of the very special people's pictures were not taken by our photographer. His excuse was that he was looking after Aki. I will keep that in mind  and never assign him as the photographer next time :P.
